FIREPLACE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA

The aim of the Association is to promote the sale and correct installation of fireplaces and braais, so that consumers are assured of a fireplace or braai that is both safe, and functining correctly.
Members of the Association are required to adhere to a strict code of ethics to regulate and promote the industry and where necessary, will be policed.
The Association opened 3 years ago,with 7 dedicated members around the country, and now has in excess of 20 members.Membership is open to shops, manufacturers and importers, who supply safe, quality products and applications.
CONSUMER BENEFITS - Products that are well designed and manufactured.
- Correct installation and instruction on use of the product by experienced people.
- Where customer dissatisfaction occurs, a member of the Association will visit the site and give a written report. If a member is found to have contravened the code of ethics, they will be required to rectify the installation at their cost or face disciplinary action.
- The long term goal of the Association is to ensure the correct and safe installation and use of all fireplace products in South Africa.
